Plot:The story of 1970s. Tycoon John Paul Getty (Christopher Plummer) is one of the richest men in the world. Life is idyllic for the Getty clan until his 16-year-old grandson John Paul Getty III (Charlie Plummer) is kidnapped by an Italian paramilitary organization. While the boy remains unaccounted for, his devoted mother Gail Harris (Michelle Williams) will try by all means to get the multimillionaire grandfather to pay the ransom. But the tycoon refuses because he is not willing to cooperate with the demands of extortion. Faced with the refusal and with the aim of rescuing her son, Gail is allied with Getty business manager and former CIA agent Fletcher Chase (Mark Wahlberg) to convince Getty to change his mind before it is too late.
