‘The Woman in the Yard’ remains a motion picture, driven more by speed than by artistic qualities. It boasts impressive visuals, courtesy of cinematographer Pawel Pogorzelski, who skillfully depicts a somber narrative of sorrow, isolation, and despair. Set in a dilapidated farmhouse isolated from society, Ramona heartlessly views a video of her deceased husband while cocooned beneath the sheets. Her injured leg and blank stare indicate that she has been confined to bed for an extended period. The kitchen is devoid of food, the dog’s bowl is empty, and the walls show signs of deterioration. Meanwhile, Ramona’s son Taylor hurriedly prepares breakfast for himself and his shy sister Annie.
