No one can deny that the poster for this movie if it had been filed twenty or thirty years ago would have caused a sensation in Hollywood, but sadly the film does not show then but now, in the XXI century the era of technology and social networking front. We will not deny that Pacino has not cared much for taking care of your career, what makes this film a new hope to recover one of the best actors of the era of the seventies and eighties.
Val (Al Pacino) is released from prison after serving 28 years of his sentence. His best friend, Doc (Christopher Walken) awaits the start and together they go in search of another old colleague, Hirsch (Alan Arkin). Despite the age, the three former gangsters decide to begin to regain that same night the glory days and decades of crime, drugs and sex lost. But Doc has some urgent work to do, commission by the former head of the band: to kill Val and settle his own score to settle well. The dilemma for a gangster is impossible and time to find a solution runs out.
If someone makes the exercise of internet search photograph of film director Fisher Stevens ( Kiss in Manhattan) , I’m sure more than one will be surprised to find in photography .
Al Pacino ( The Godfather , Scent of a Woman , Scarface ), Christopher Walken ( Catch Me If You Can, The Hunter , Wedding Crashers ) and Alan Arkin ( Rocketeer, Thirteen , Argo ) are the pillars of this quirky film ( notice the number of times they eat the protagonists in one night and what they are able to eat ) and those who are responsible for giving soul to the gangsters failed to interpret .
