The origin of “Prometheus” , there is a picture: that of a skeleton glimpsed in ” Alien , the eighth passenger ” by crew members of the Nostromo as they pass by the planet LV- 426. This giant ossified , slumped in the seat of his huge observation post , abdomen pierced by a xenomorph , seemed to be the aesthetic extension of a vessel with very organic curves . Ridley Scott had regretted that the “Space Jokey ” – and it was called – and the cyclopean spaceship that surrounded him were forgotten once the creature circulation.

“Prometheus” fix this oversight in propelling us some forty years before the first “Alien” when the Weyland Corporation, well known to fans of the saga, sent to the future planet Acheron a reconnaissance mission funded to the tune of a trillion dollars . Warned that this is a prequel to the terrifying adventures of the beast designed by H . R. Giger, the viewer experiences a perverse pleasure to grasp all references induced by the return of the founder of the saga to its kind – and the film – favorite , from screenwriting to the echoes signs of progress towards the model we know of the creature.

For his role , Fassbender said he was inspired replicants of ” Blade Runner ,” and this is evident when comparing its performance to those of his comrades all human film ring hollow and appear to undergo events , when only the non-human seems to have a head start on everyone and a real capacity for astonishment at how Rutger Hauer doing his spiel about the wonders of the cosmos .

It is to be artificial , paradoxically , seems to experience things more intensely than others, because it has long since passed the stage of philosophical questions humans. Somewhere film Prometheus , lively city with a holographic interference Weyland , it’s him : the bridge between man and his gods.
