“Watch 12 Years a Slave movie”, a story of a black man. This initiation story uses 12 Years a Slave as an introduction of the spectator into the slavery system. The peculiarity of the true story of Solomon Northup, whose eponymous book served as the basis for the screenplay, is quite the aspect that he was already free before he became a slave. 12 Years a Slave provokes these questions and think with them . Core of the film is the interest of what makes the system with the wrong people .
Is precisely for this endeavor , the contrast between the nerd and the other slaves Solomon productive. In most respects, they are equal to each other soon . Though Solomon never wants to face this reality completely , it adapts to its location on quickly . The well-read man is a good chameleon. Stay out of everything, look down , probe friends and foes from a distance. The film makes it his protagonist the same: not only getting too close to the other . McQueen explores the ambivalence and shows exactly this process: It is Solomon’s opportunism into the picture and it binds his destiny .
This can not end well . It acts sobering , alienating. Simultaneously evoke confusion , anger and indecision , is a sensation for a period film . Staggering, I leave the cinema hall and forget about it , to seek the views of the unknowns on the stairs one last time.
