Plot: As an author stymied by past success, writer’s block, misuse, relationship issues and a heavy set of further problems, Elliott’s cracked-out chronicle of an eccentric murder trial amounts to put the total of its elements. Shortly into the 2007 trial of programmer Hans Reiser, suspect of murdering his better half, the defendant’s friend Sean sturgeon obliquely confessed to many murders. Elliott, trapped within the film-ready twist and his tenuous affiliation to sturgeon, makes a gonzo record of the proceedings.
The result’s a scattered, indulgent romp through the mind of a depressive selfish person addicted to his insecurities and childhood traumas.The all-star solid additionally includes Lupita Nyong’o because the voice of the ferociously protecting mother wolf Raksha, and Giancarlo Esposito because the voice of wolf pack’s alpha male Akela.
