Watch city of god movie , this is a crime and drama movie. History of Brazilian gang: as edifying as terrifying. “City of God” could almost be likened to a documentary on Favela, a kind of Brazilian housing estates, built in the form of huge estates, sidelined and neglected in terms of equipment and maintenance, s’ there was not setting inventive scene, rhythmic and nervous Meirelles. His narrative principle is simple: within a flashback (the history of the Favela), the director zooms on various characters, he has us (or not) a slice of life, explaining the reasons its violence.
And strength of the film lies in these portraits increasingly expanded, which started with a comical tone, gradually reveal dramatic and disturbing as and as the stakes and the characters grow, but also that new enemies younger. Some basic rules related to the drug trade, and carvings in the city of neighborhoods influences, we go to total anarchy, backed by mobsters getting younger and therefore less friendly lower codes.
Meirelles and dismantles the logic of an endless spiral, as frightening as light in its treatment. The bright colors could almost forget the ambient misery and joy of some characters, doubt an end darker. Fortunately, optimism remains the rule.
