“Watch Eternal Love movie “by Irish director Brendan Muldowney is the adaptation of a novel by the Japanese author Kei Oishi . This is a sensitively told and reserved staged arthouse film, whose tone between light comedy and tragedy unobtrusive varies: a character study full of humor and sensitivity. Interesting – and quite surprising for a work about death – is the image design : instead of expectable blue-gray dreariness , which should reflect the emotional state of the protagonist, select Muldowney and his cinematographer Tom Comerford sunlit nature scenes and celebrate the beauty of snow crystals or of the form and structure of a leaf , a shell , etc. .
Images of couples in love and playing children suggest that there may be such a thing as happiness in this world. This concept also fits that to a common drive to the double suicide runs no depri – music on the radio, but – of all things – “Let’s Get It On” by Marvin Gay and “Walking On Sunshine” by Katrina and the Waves !
The moments in which Ian with the deceased women living in his house – and it comes very close to them – a little reminiscent of the mannequins scenes in Franck Khalfouns “Maniac “ remake starring Elijah Wood.
